Pillows for children, like bed linen, must meet several important criteria. After all, children sleep longer than adults. According to statistics, babies sleep 16–20 hours a day, 10–12-year-old schoolchildren – 10 hours. And only by the age of 15 does a teenager's sleep equalize with the duration of an adult's sleep.
Sleep is extremely important for children of all ages. During sleep, hormones are produced that are responsible for mood, growth, good appetite and the ability to concentrate on studies.

The main criteria for choosing a children's pillow

One of the criteria for choosing a children's pillow is its height. First of all, you need to consider the age of the child. For children under three years of age, the pillow should not be higher than 2–3 cm, for children of three to five years – no higher than 5–6 cm, for school-age children, choose a pillow up to 10 cm high.
No less important factor for a child’s healthy sleep is the hypoallergenicity of the product. And this factor depends on the filler and the pillow cover. For a child, it is advisable to choose artificial fillers, such as artificial fluff or holofiber.

Holofiber = artificial fluff

In terms of characteristics, holofiber is close to artificial fluff. Pillows with such filler are soft and elastic. This helps to relax the muscles of the neck and shoulders. Such pillows belong in the bedrooms of people suffering from migraines, headaches and osteochondrosis.
Holofiber absorbs moisture well, and this is important in the summer, when children sweat. By the way, if we talk about care, children's pillows with such fillers can be washed in a washing machine.

The cover matters

Tick is 100% cotton with a twill (diagonal) texture, providing the highest possible durability of the product. Due to its density, the fabric will reliably hold the fluff in the product and prevent it from penetrating outside. And high density gives the fabric such properties as durability and wear resistance. Tick is also valued for its hygroscopicity, that is, the ability to absorb moisture, allow air to pass through, and anti-allergenic properties due to its natural composition.

Ranforce calico is the undisputed leader in the rating of fabrics used for the production of bed linen and home textiles. It is quite popular among manufacturers because it is one of the most comfortable for sleeping and relatively inexpensive.

Calico is produced using a dense plain weave method, which provides the finished product with a high degree of strength, durability and wear resistance. Even after repeated washing, the fabric retains its properties: it perfectly absorbs excess moisture, and also allows air to pass through well and retains heat.
